Tote bag & T-shirt block printing workshop | Wednesday 16th April 2025

Join Clarey for this half day workshop and introduction to block printing. Have fun with your friends this Easter learning how to design and print your own tote bag and t-shirt for school, shopping or sleepovers.
This session is perfect for beginners as well as those who’ve had a go before. We will start by teaching you the basics of block printing, how to use the paints and an intro into using patterns to create your design. We then guide you through a practise session where you get to test out the process, play with colour and experiment with your own ideas and designs. After fuelling you up with homemade cakes and drinks we will move on to printing your final design onto a canvas tote bag or cotton t-shirt to take home with you.
You can use either the Indian carved wooden block prints from our own library or have a go at creating your own block with the simple but effective potato printing method both of which we will guide you through and teach before letting you loose on your final piece.
All materials, tote bag/t-shirt, drinks, and delicious cakes covered in the cost of class.
Please wear clothes/overalls/aprons you don’t mind getting paint on as we cannot guarantee that the paints will come off in the wash.
